Mgr. Zuzana Denková Phd.
As Head of the Collections and Research Division at the Bratislava City Museum, she is responsible for the strategic development of the museum’s collections and research activities, the coordination of specialist teams, and the development of processes related to collections management, research and contemporary documentation.
She has worked in the museum sector for more than two decades. Throughout her career, she has been involved in research, publishing and exhibition projects, community engagement and the management of specialist projects. Her long-standing interests include urban history, cultural memory, contemporary documentation and the role of museums in 21st-century society.
At the museum, she contributes to its development as a modern memory institution that connects collections and research with public engagement. Her professional priorities include advancing research and collections development, documenting the contemporary city, and strengthening collaboration between the museum, professional communities and local communities.
She is the author and co-author of academic and popular publications and articles on history, museology and cultural heritage. She actively contributes to professional discussions on the future of museums, cultural policy and the protection of cultural heritage.
