Daša Bombjaková
She works at the Institute of Social Anthropology, Faculty of Social and Economic Sciences, Comenius University Bratislava. She spent more than a year and a half conducting ethnographic fieldwork with the BaYaka hunter-gatherers in Congo-Brazzaville. Her research focuses on social learning and socialisation, particularly on how children acquire the values and ways of life of their community in an egalitarian society with little formal education. She has published in Scientific Reports, American Journal of Physical Anthropology, Proceedings of the Royal Society B, and other international academic journals. She currently coordinates professional placements for social anthropology students and works at the Ministry of Education, Research, Development and Youth of the Slovak Republic, where she is responsible for the international evaluation of research, artistic activity, and the societal impact of creative work.
