Weapons Collection

The content of the collection of arms extends beyond the borders of Bratislava. The origin of collection items is related mainly to the territory of Central Europe. The collection is open to items related to the military equipment and arms from the Middle Ages to 1950.

What does the collection document?

• Military and civilian units: it documents military and security groups and units, as well as civilian units (hunters and sport shooters), active in the territory of the city from the Middle Ages to the 20th century.

• Weapons and military equipment: the collection consists of historical weapons and military equipment.

• Weapons from global conflics: the collection comprises weapons used in both world wars.

Valuable items with supra-regional significance:

• important collection of supra-regional nature consisting of products of Bratislava gunsmiths,

• oriental and foreign weapons, which were imported to the city in the past as war and travel trophies.
