All Souls’ Day Evening at Devín Castle

Step into the world of traditional folk healing, protective rituals and beliefs about the magical powers of herbs.

At 3:30 PM, Alena Pavlíková from the BROZ conservation association will guide you through the castle’s herb garden and explore the history of plants used in traditional folk rituals.

Did you know that the castle grounds contain the remains of a cemetery, with archaeological finds dating back to the Great Moravian period?

At 4:45 PM, archaeologist Jana Mellnerová Šuteková and castle manager Petra Palíková Kohútová will take you on a guided tour exploring the cemetery’s history and burial traditions.

Both guided tours start at the main gate.
