Devín Castle
Thanks to the combination of history, surrounding nature and location at the confluence of the Danube and Morava rivers, Devín Castle is a unique place in Central Europe. You can find there a permanent exhibition Devín Castle in th 13th–20th centuries and temporary exhibition Attention, border! Devín in the Iron Curtain 1948–1989. While taking a peaceful stroll through the castle grounds, you can enjoy iconic views and you may also come across sheep and goats that graze there as part of the managed natural pasture. The uniqueness of the location, distant only 20-minute drive from the centre, is complemented with the nearby national natural reserve Devínska Kobyla with the largest biodiversity of plants in Slovakia.
