Mgr. Hana Sedláčková
Hana Sedláčková works at the Bratislava City Museum as a curator of the Secular Textiles and Toys and Everyday Culture sub-collections, as well as the furniture collections within Modern History II and Art.
Her research focuses on clothing culture, fashion accessories and household textiles produced in Bratislava's workshops, fashion salons and factories from the late 18th to the late 20th century. She also specialises in documenting the everyday lives of Bratislava's residents between 1800 and 2000.
Alongside her work with museum collections, she explores participatory and interpretive approaches to curatorship, particularly in relation to documenting the 21st century and collaborating with communities living in Bratislava.
She studied Ethnology and Cultural Anthropology at Comenius University in Bratislava. After completing her master's degree, she worked in the museum sector as an ethnologist and curator specialising in the Small Carpathian region. Her work encompassed collection management, academic publishing, the development of exhibitions as both a lead curator and part of interdisciplinary teams, grant-funded projects, and the organisation of community events.
