Mgr. Milan Zálešák

Milan Zálešák works at the Bratislava City Museum (MMB) as the head of the Devín Castle Department, which manages one of the most significant historical sites in Slovakia. In his work, he focuses on the strategic development of cultural heritage, the development of visitor services, and aligning the preservation of historical monuments with the current needs of the public. An important part of his work also involves the interpretation and presentation of cultural heritage to various visitor groups.

Before joining the museum, he worked in the field of regional development and public policy, including at the Institute of Regional Policy of the Bratislava Self-Governing Region, where he focused on strategic planning and cross-sectoral cooperation in the areas of culture and tourism. He has been active in this field for many years and has gained extensive experience in presenting and interpreting history and cultural monuments in an international context.

At Devín Castle, she is involved in the preparation and implementation of development projects, cultural events, and professional initiatives aimed at making this significant national cultural monument accessible to the public. She focuses on improving the visitor experience, sustainable cultural tourism, public participation, and the preparation of infrastructure projects. He is particularly interested in contemporary approaches to the interpretation of cultural heritage and in ways to make historical sites accessible in a clear and relevant manner for today’s audiences.

He studied history with a focus on modern history, and as part of his work at the museum, he strives to combine knowledge of the past with the management of cultural and development projects and the administration of the castle as an independent site of the MMB.
