Mgr. Zuzana Palicová
Zuzana Palicová has served as director of the Bratislava City Museum since 2022.
She studied cultural studies at the Faculty of Philosophy of Comenius University. She gained professional experience at institutions focused on cultural heritage. For more than seven years, she worked at the Slovak National Gallery, where she contributed to program development, art outreach, and audience development. She also worked at the Bratislava City Hall, where she focused on the development and support of urban cultural organizations.
Since 2025, she has been a member and vice-chair of ICOM Cities, the international committee of ICOM focused on urban museums.
In her work, she focuses on the development of museums as open and active public institutions. She is interested in how museums can connect their professional activities with the needs of people, cities, and communities and build meaningful relationships with their audiences.
