Opening: Euphoria and Exhaustion: Bratislava’s Club Scene in the 1990s

We invite you to the opening of the exhibition Between euphoria and exhaustion. Bratislava clubbing scene of the 1990s, taking place on 8 October 2026 at 18:00 in the Exhibition Hall of the Old Town Hall.

What were Bratislava nights like in the 1990s? Come to the opening of an exhibition exploring the emergence of the first clubs, new music genres and subcultures after 1989. Discover the stories of places that became laboratories of freedom and creativity, as well as meeting spaces for different communities.

What remains of their energy and values in Bratislava today? Following an introduction by curator Alexandra Tamásová and publication author Peter Dolník, the evening will continue with a DJ set by TOKY, one of the key figures of the Slovak techno scene.
