I’m sure you’ve walked along the Danube at some point and thought to yourself, ‘Wow, that really is a massive river’. Our Danube has a long history and has undergone various changes over the years. Time and again, so much water would build up in it that it couldn’t contain it all, and the river came very close to the city! Why did this happen, and how does it tie in with the history of the Danube?
