Exhibition of Viticulture

What was everyday life in Bratislava like over the past three centuries? What is the atmosphere of the spaces where decisions about the city and the lives of its people were once made? The permanent exhibition offers an insight into the history of Bratislava’s inhabitants from the 17th century to the end of the 1930s.

In authentic historic interiors, you will discover the everyday life of the city, from its administration and coronation events to crafts and trade, education and culture, civic associations, theatre and the Danube itself.

The tour also takes you through spaces that once played an important role in public life, including the former city archive, the city council chamber and the courtroom, some of the most historically significant parts of the Old Town Hall. As part of the exhibition, you can also visit the former city prison.
