Apponyi Palace
The Rococo Palace in the heart of the historical centre was once a home of the royal counsellor – count György Apponyi. Nowadays, it offers a lively exhibition space. Apponyi had the palace with lavish equipment built in 1761–1762 on the site of two burgher houses from the 14th century, which he had pulled down. Later on, the administration of Bratislava and subsequently the museum had their seat there.
In present, you can enjoy temporary exhibitions on current topics that open up different perspectives on the city. You will also find there an exhibitiom of viticulture and the Slovak National Collection of Wines in the authentic cellar with a separate entrance where you can taste wine from different Slovak regions. Pleasant nook for relax, refreshment as well as for a game with oversize chessboard can be found in the peaceful courtyard of the palace.

Not entirely. The palace belongs to a larger museum complex, which includes the neighbouring Old Town Hall as well. You can buy a combined ticket for the entire tour (at both ticket offices), or you can choose a separate ticket if you want to visit only a current exhibition directly in the palace.
