The Red Crayfish Pharmacy combines the atmosphere of a preserved Rococo pharmacy with modern services of a visitors centre with free admission. It is located in the historical premises of an 18th century burgher house built in the moat of the city fortifications. Part of the building is a rebuilt medieval barbican – a significant defensive element of the fortifications. The pharmacy housed an exhibition of pharmacy for a long time and therefore you can admire original equipment of the pharmacy shop and beautiful Baroque-Classicist frescos.

Nowadays, the premises represent a starting point for visiting Michael’s Tower – you can buy a ticket here and you can easily learn about the development of Bratislava and Michael’s Tower in terms of medieval defense. We will be happy to give you tips for further exploration of the BCM sites, look after your luggage and offer you our original souvenirs.
